The benefit of mind-mapping to the 21st century classroom is that students will have a better idea of what they're interested in finding out. For example, if they need to do internet research on a certain topic, they will be more successful if they have already mind-mapped it and know what they are looking for. Similarly, if they are blogging about something, if they have already mind-mapped it, it will give them some focus.

This is a beautiful tool. I am a huge proponent of organization and this allows a student to visually organize information they have acquired. I liked using it as a review for this class and will refer back to it to help me remember what we learned. I think it will be useful to use it this way in class, in addition to helping beginner students organize what they learn and to help advanced students prepare for essay writing. It is easy to use, edit, personalize, etc. The only difficulty I had with it was figuring out where to find the embed code.
